Contemporary works and abstract expressionist masterpieces converge in Shade, a collaborative presentation by the Denver Art Museum (DAM) and Clyfford Still Museum (CSM). In this two-venue exhibition, paintings by renowned contemporary American artist Mark Bradford—who will represent the United States at the 2017 Venice Biennale—will be on view at the DAM, while a presentation of Still’s work selected in collaboration with Bradford will be on view here at CSM.

Join us on Saturday, April 8 for the joint member preview of Shade: Clyfford Still/Mark Bradford. On this day, admission to the DAM portion of the exhibition will be via timed entry tickets and advance reservations are strongly recommended. Reservations are not required to attend the CSM portion of the member preview.

Reserve your timed-entry member preview tickets for the DAM exhibition by calling the DAM at 720-913-0130, or by visiting one of the Welcome Centers on the first level of the DAM. CSM members should have their membership card in hand when making the reservation.

This exhibition is organized by the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, Buffalo, NY. Its presentation in Denver is a collaboration between the Albright-Knox Art Gallery, the Clyfford Still Museum, and the Denver Art Museum.
