Our primary concern is for the safety and well-being of our staff, volunteers, and visitors. In response to concerns around limiting the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), we have made the decision to close the Museum to the public temporarily and this closure will remain effective until further notice. As the stewards of a public art collection, we are proud to help protect our community. We hope to reschedule many of the postponed events and programs later this year and we look forward to welcoming you back in the galleries soon.

Join us to celebrate children around the world during Día del Niño (Day of the Child), in partnership with other cultural organizations in the Civic Center Cultural Complex including the Denver Art Museum, History Colorado Center, Byers-Evans House Museum, and Denver Public Libraries. Enjoy live dance and musical performances throughout the day on a stage in the Museum’s outside forecourt and participate in hands-on art-making activities.

Explore the galleries on your own or use the Detail Detective self-guided scavenger hunt to look closely for details in the Museum and in Still’s art. Visitors who complete the activity will receive a Clyfford Still Postcard to take home.  The Detail Detective is available in English, Spanish, Vietnamese, Arabic, Amharic, and Somali. Experience our galleries in a totally different way at the Stimulate Your Senses Station: touch the materials Still would have used and feel texture of paint on canvas, listen to the sounds of Clyfford Still’s record collection, and smell a variety of scents to see if your perception of Still’s artwork changes.
