Celebrate the Museum’s fifth anniversary summer with four free lawn concerts presented in partnership with Swallow Hill Music. With musical styles ranging from folk to funk, the stellar line-up of this expanded season offers something for everyone. Pack a picnic and join us on the lawn to celebrate summer in the city on select Fridays.  Delicious ice cream sandwiches from Peteybird, local microbrews from Baere Brewing Co., and gourmet sausages from Biker Jim’s will be available at each event. Concerts take place from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Davina and the Vagabonds’ shows are filled with New Orleans charm, Memphis soul swagger, dark theatrical moments and tender gospel passages. Singer/pianist Davina Sowers’ presence is indelible, while her voice defies simple categorization. Evoking comparisons as diverse as Etta James, Amy Winehouse, Billie Holiday and Betty Boop, she is simply a true original, presenting a personal vision that celebrates a century of American music.
