Music was part of Still’s life from an early age.  Still played piano and memorized works by Beethoven, Chopin, and Schubert. His record collection, which is part of the Museum’s archives, includes an eclectic mix of classical, jazz, traditional, gospel, blues, and folk. If you share Still’s appreciation for music, join us for these live performances in the galleries to experience his work through both sight and sound.

January 8, 2017: Felonius Smith
Felonius Smith and his trio will perform prewar blues music at its most authentic. With slide-resonator guitar, double bass, and harmonica, the trio will take us back to a time when original bluesmen were pioneering a new style of music.

Free with admission. No registration required.

Music in the Galleries is a partnership with Friends of Chamber Music and Swallow Hill Music.
