Music in the Galleries: Cary Morin
Category: Music in the Galleries
We kick off the new season of Music in the Galleries with Colorado-based Cary Morin who brings together the musical traditions of America and beyond. Crow tribal member and son of an Air Force officer, Morin was born in Billings, Montana, and spent the bulk of his youth picking guitar standards at neighborhood get togethers. Morin has played to sold-out audiences across the globe and has won numerous awards, including the 2018 Independent Music Award for Best Blues CD, a 2018 Native Arts and Cultures Fellowship, and the 2017 Indigenous Music Award for Best Blues CD.
Join us for a program as exciting and eclectic as the record collection of Clyfford Still that inspires it. Live performances surrounded by Still’s vibrant paintings and award winning architecture. A great way to spend a Sunday afternoon!
