Our first performance of the season features Ivy Street Ensemble with harpist Rachel Ellins. Together they will perform a lyrical program for flute, violin, viola, and harp, including works by Camille Saint-Saëns and Toru Takemitsu. Formed in 2001, the Ivy Street Ensemble is comprised of three Colorado Symphony musicians: Cathy Peterson, Erik Peterson, and Philip Stevens. Rachel Starr Ellins is the first call substitute/second harpist with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra and principal harpist with the Longmont Symphony Orchestra.

Music in the Galleries is a series as exciting and eclectic as the record collection of Clyfford Still that inspires it. If you share Still’s appreciation for music, join us for these live performances every second Sunday of the month in our beautiful, light-filled galleries.

To meet growing demand, there will be identical performances at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. this season. Seating is limited.
