Music in the Galleries: Laughing Hands
- This event has passed.
Laughing Hands performs their own unique blend of mostly original fusion music, combining elements of jazz and rock with various ethnic styles including eastern European, Latin-American, Spanish flamenco, Asian, and American bluegrass music. The ensemble includes mandolin, upright bass, acoustic guitar, flutes, Chinese erhu, Bulgarian tambura, Greek bouzouki, world percussion, banjola, and bass harmonica. Together since 1990, Laughing Hands is a four-piece group whose members are Steve Mullins, Brian Mullins, Mike Fitzmaurice, and Ed Contreras.
Music in the Galleries is a series as exciting and eclectic as the record collection of Clyfford Still that inspires it. If you share Still’s appreciation for music, join us for these live performances every second Sunday of the month in our beautiful, light-filled galleries.
To meet growing demand, there will be identical performances at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. this season. Seating is limited.
