“I am grateful to have an opportunity to engage with Winnie one-on-one in such a beautiful way. She doesn’t get a lot of solo time with me since she has a three-year-old sister. I want to take advantage of one-on-one time with her whenever I can, and the Art Crawl was a lovely way to spend time together. It was so fun watching her observe and enjoy CSM and learning more from the fantastic team.” – Caitlin, Art Crawl participant

The Clyfford Still Museum is a great place for you and your baby to experience art and find community with other families with infants. Art Crawl is designed for caregivers with infants from newborns through age 14 months. Part tour, part mixer, a CSM educator will lead families in a crawl through the galleries in each monthly session. Your guide will encourage an interactive discussion on the importance of introducing your baby to art at an early age and tips for experiencing art together. This program focuses on community building; feel free to drop in or return each month to socialize with fellow caregivers! The May theme is “Making Faces.”

A front-facing carrier is recommended, but not required, for this program. Art Crawl is included with Museum admission and is free for CSM members. Children 17 and under are always free. Registration is required and space is limited.

Research Study

We invite you and your 6-18-month-old child to participate in a research study. The purpose of the study is to determine if your child enjoys using the educational materials in a Baby Art Kit designed explicitly as an educational component by Kathy Danko-McGhee.

If you volunteer to participate, you will be asked to complete a short survey and participate in an observation session. The observation may be videotaped. This session will take approximately 20 minutes total, 10 minutes for the survey (done in the convenience of your home after your museum visit), and 10 minutes for the observation session at the museum. The benefits of your child’s participation include sensory stimulation as they play with the educational materials in the Baby Art Kit.

As a token of appreciation for participating in the study, you will receive a free Baby Art Kit to take home ($65 value). Because there is limited space, we highly recommend that you sign up for the Art Crawl on May 25 or 28. The research study will take place immediately after the Art Crawl.
