Let’s talk about conservation over cocktails! “Conservation” is a world with different meanings across disciplines. Collections conservators do critical work that encompasses research, scientific analysis, documentation, and treatments of objects and materials.
In partnership with the Clyfford Still Museum, the Denver Museum of Nature & Science (DMNS) offers a behind-the-scenes view from a panel of experts, including additional presenters from the Denver Botanic Gardens and Denver Public Library, as they share their insights on conservation in a fast and furious Pecha Kucha format.
After the talk, stop at the cash bar and eat a tasty snack before strolling down to DMNS’ Collection Facility for an Open House in the Avenir Conservation Center for a special opportunity to see collections not usually seen by the general public!
This program is $25 for the public and $20 for CSM members and DMNS members. To receive the member discount, select the regular adult price and enter promo code CSM during online registration. Registration is required.
Stay tuned for more information on the presenters.
