film/Still: Kids on the BIG Screen

Clyfford Still spent his childhood and adolescence in the West and said it taught him to respect the “awful bigness of the land, the men and the machines.” We put out an open call to young filmmakers (18 and under) for short films (1 minute or less) on the concept of BIGNESS: Big landscapes, big ideas, and big feelings. Join us for a screening and celebration of their work at the Sie Film Center followed by a talkback with some of the filmmakers. This program is free and registration is required to attend in person at the Sie Film Center. CSM members will receive free popcorn at the screening. Selections from this screening will be available in CSM’s The Making Space throughout the run of Awful Bigness. Registration will open soon.
