Family Tours
Don’t miss our hour-long Family Tours, art adventures designed for children ages 5-10 and their adults. Full of games, art making, and close looking in the galleries, Family Tours are led by our professional team of gallery teachers. Family Tours are included with admission and advance registration is required. Sign up here and experience what one mom called “a perfect combination of art observation and hands-on activities.” Every child takes home a keepsake!

Family Day
Enjoy a family-friendly celebration in the Museum’s forecourt and galleries. Family Days are free, and registration is not required. Festivities include art making, games, and family tours. Our next family day will be 2020’s Día del Niño. Check back for updates!

Family Activity Book and Detail Detective
Available at reception. Try some creative activities together that help you look more closely and spark your imagination about what you see. Pick up a Family Activity Book, a bilingual activity guide to inspire you to look, create, and explore. Try out our Detail Detective and sharpen your eyes and see how many details you can find.

The Making Space
Upstairs, adjacent to our magnificent galleries, think art and make ideas in The Making Space. This hands-on interactive gallery features a variety of materials, books, and resources to explore your creative side. Follow along with guided activities related to the current exhibition, or experiment with supplies and techniques. Create an artist trading card and swap it with another visitor, explore videos about Still and the collection, or flip through our selection of books. The Making Space has something for families with children of all ages.
