Family Tours
Don’t miss our hour-long Family Tours, art adventures designed for the whole family. Full of games, artmaking, and close looking in the galleries, Family Tours are led by our professional team of gallery teachers. Our tour on Thursday, October 27 is free for everyone, however space is limited and advance registration is required. Sign up here and experience what one mom called “a perfect combination of art observation and hands-on activities.” Every child takes home a keepsake!

Family Guide
Not sure where to begin when talking to your kids about Clyfford Still’s art? Pick up a Family Guide, a set of cards with conversation starters about key elements of Clyfford Still’s work. Available at reception.

Family Sketchbook and Detail Detective
Also available at reception. Try some creative activities together that help you look more closely and spark your imagination about what you see. Pick up a Family Sketchbook, a series of seven fun prompts that can be done with any artwork in the museum, or try out our Detail Detective: sharpen your eyes and see how many details you can find—after you have found them all, head back to reception to claim a prize.

Boettcher Foundation Education Gallery
Upstairs, adjacent to our magnificent galleries, check out some of our favorite children’s books and try your hand at our brand new Clyfford Still-inspired memory game. Watch short videos about the art and life of Clyfford Still, as well as his Abstract Expressionist contemporaries.
