For senior centers, libraries, and other community groups, the Museum offers outreach programs on a need-based, sliding scale.

Members of our professional adult guide and gallery teaching teams lead these experiences, and programs are tailored to group needs. Programs may include hands-on workshops and lectures, Museum visits, or a combination of all three.

Past participants include VSA Colorado, Denver Public Library Plaza Program, Friendship Circle, The Gathering Place, Lighthouse Writer’s Workshop, RedLine’s Reach Studio, and others.

Bringing a group of students on the autism spectrum and other disabilities to the Clyfford Still Museum has been an amazing experience. By working in the galleries and the studio during Clyfford Still: The Works on Paper, we have been able to introduce not only concepts and theories about abstraction, which are often new concepts for our students, but also to expand their confidence with new mediums and approaches on paper.

I felt the decision to host a show based on works on paper for the museum was a brave one— being so open to work with diverse and new populations in the museum is equally brave and is what makes the museum such a jewel for Denver.
