Join us for another night of figure drawing led by artist and educator Kaitlyn Tucek. This time, we ask you to come with an open mind to alter your reality and play with the concepts and subversion of surrealism.

Using a variety of playful tasks, participants will be able to try new things while working from a live model in the galleries. Tucek will discuss the influences of Surrealism on the Abstract Expressionist movement, and artists will have both short and long poses with the nude model.

We believe that learning through play doesn’t have to stop when you grow up. In fact, we know that learning happens through play. We already have many successful programs fostering play and artmaking for our audiences under 18, and we wanted to bring that same sense of learning through play to our members. This accessible activity is open to all levels and designed to be open-ended, exploratory, and, above all, fun!

Materials will be provided, but you can bring your sketchbook and pencils. Please note that only graphite is allowed in the gallery sessions, and the model will be nude.

This event is limited to members and their guests. Not a member? Join today.

Space is limited. Registration is required and will open soon.
