Interlude

APR 30–MAY 5, 2024

To prepare for the installation of a new exhibition, CSM deinstalled the conservation spotlights from the previous exhibition, changed the look of a few gallery walls, and brought out two paintings from the next show, PH-883, 1952 and PH-64, 1952. During this week-long interlude, enjoy a full chronological presentation of highlights from our collection.

Composed of three horizontal bands of color, this work is one of Still's more unusual compositions. The majority of work is covered in a thick white pigment. A thin, distinct sliver of gray lines the bottom edge and a slightly wider, more hazy strip of yellow lines the top edge.
