Don’t miss the last show of our Summer Music: Picnic Series! Pack your favorite picnic delights and enjoy live music as you unwind from the week on the Museum’s forecourt!
This free, family-friendly music series invites you to mingle and move. Feel free to sit, stand, wiggle, and dance! Don’t miss the chance to step inside and explore our thought-provoking exhibition, Held Impermanence, and browse for one-of-a-kind items in the Museum Shop. The Still will be open with discounted $5 admission for adults; admission for children and members is always free! Registration is not required.
Please note that while you can bring your favorite snacks and sips, food and beverages for purchase will not be available at the event, so feel free to stop by a local restaurant to elevate your picnic experience. We will have a limited number of chairs available, so come early to snag a spot and kick off the weekend!
The August show features Before the Sun.
Before the Sun is a folk quartet from Denver, Colorado, known for their original songwriting, soaring vocal harmony, thoughtful instrumental arrangements, and hilarious stage presence. The band formed in 2023 around the long-time friendship of Clare Elich (banjo), Summers Baker (guitar), Grace Clark (percussion), and Joe D’Esposito (cello, fiddle). They play together with the goal of bringing audiences into the magic of acoustic music, and they seek at every turn to write and perform songs that uplift those around them.
Presented in collaboration with Swallow Hill Music.
