Tours + Groups

The Clyfford Still Museum offers educator-led and self-guided experiences. Please look at our options below and request a tour or program today. For more information about tours, please email tours@clyffordstillmuseum.org.

The Clyfford Still Museum welcomes individuals and groups with disabilities. We work closely with our community to ensure that individuals with disabilities can fully participate in our programming.

We require at least three weeks’ notice to book a tour or program. We cannot accommodate requests with fewer than three weeks’ notice.

In-person Tours

An educator-led tour lasts 60 minutes and includes an introduction to Clyfford Still and the Museum, as well as a close look at selected works. Tours can also be customized to the interest of the group to focus on topics such as Abstract Expressionism, the architecture of the Museum, or the current exhibition. Our tours are very conversational and are a great way to become familiar with the Museum or a deeper dive into the art and artist.

Discounts are available for college, senior, and community groups. Tours are limited to no more than 20 people and one CSM educator.

Interactive Workshops

Want to explore deeper and have a hands-on experience? Join us for an interactive workshop! Led by our museum educators, workshops are custom-designed to explore themes of your choosing through collaborative conversation and hands-on activities. Dive deep into the art and life of Clyfford Still, build community with your fellow participants, and come away with new perspectives and understandings.

Discounts are available for college, senior, and community groups. We can accommodate up to 25 participants in a workshop, and can accommodate larger groups with additional planning. Workshops can take place at the museum or at your location.

Virtual + Offsite Experiences

Can’t make it to the Museum or want to experience a program at your site with friends, family, or colleagues? Book a virtual tour or offsite program! Any of our tours, lectures, or workshops can be led virtually or at your site (within the 7-county SCFD area).

Discounts are available for college, senior, and community groups. We can accommodate up to 100 participants in a virtual tour and up to 25 in an offsite program.

Community Groups

Nonprofit organizations that work with underserved communities may request a free guided or self-guided experience. An underserved community is one in which individuals lack basic access to arts programs due to factors including geography, economic conditions, ethnic background, or disability. Experiences can be customized to meet the needs and interests of your group.

Self-Guided Groups

A guided tour is not required to visit the Museum as a group, but we do require notice for groups of ten or more. Adult, college, community, and senior groups are welcome to self-guide in the galleries.

Self-guided groups are limited to 20 participants at a time. Groups with more than 20 participants will need to stagger their entry and exit times.

Beyond the Canvas Public Tours

Each month, go beyond the canvas and learn more about the life and artistry of Clyfford Still and the Museum’s extraordinary collection. Join us on the 3rd Saturday of every month from 2–3 p.m. for this enriching experience. Tour themes will rotate each month. Tours are included with admission; please register in advance. For information, please visit our Events page.
