Pack a picnic and enjoy a free live performance by Julie Davis as Bluebook (solo) on the Museum’s outdoor forecourt! Join us on the final Friday evenings of June, July, and August this summer for a diverse showcase of musical talent. This free, family-friendly music series invites you to mingle, sit, stand, wiggle, and dance! Registration is not required.
Before, during, or after the show, step inside and explore the multisensory exhibition Still in Sound. The Museum is open until 7 p.m. on Fridays during the summer. Food and beverages will not be available for purchase at the event, so we encourage you to bring your favorite snacks and sips, or stop by a local restaurant before the show to elevate your picnic experience. We will have a limited number of chairs available, so come early to snag a spot and kick off the weekend!
Julie Davis as Bluebook (solo) delivers haunting, loop-based solo performances that blur the lines between experimental pop and chamber folk. With her percussive upright bass, ethereal vocals, and boundary-pushing arrangements, she builds entire sonic worlds from the ground up — live, in real time, and completely alone on stage. The Denver Post calls her sound “years ahead of the indie-rock curve,” NPR praises her “beautifully structured dynamics and sonic twists,” and 303 Magazine describes her work as “haunting, ethereal, and dynamic.” Westword’s Emily Ferguson says Davis “cast a spell on the audience with her vivid vocals that accentuate such poignant lyricism,” and Westword also calls her vocals “absolutely captivating, evocative and stunning.” Davis is the creative force behind Bluebook, named Best Band in Denver by Westword in 2026.

This program is supported by Denver Arts & Venues through the DENVER CREATES Fund.
