Public Tours

Beyond the Canvas

Embark on an exploration of the Clyfford Still Museum with a guided tour! Join us on the 3rd Saturday of every month from 2–3 p.m. for an engaging exploration of the Museum through close looking and lively discussion. Tours are 60 minutes long, and themes will rotate monthly between Collection Highlights, Abstract Expressionism, Architecture, and Exploring the Exhibition. Tours are included with admission, and all ages are welcome. Please register in advance. Please visit our Events page to see the upcoming theme and register.

Coming in 2026 – Still Uncovered

Discover the Still in a whole new way with an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience! Still Uncovered tours are available from 3–4:30 p.m. on the 2nd Friday of each month and open to visitors 13 and older. Each tour begins with a 60-minute guided exploration of the building and galleries, focusing on Still’s work, the architecture, and the unique nature of the collection and the Museum. The second portion invites guests to engage with specialized staff in secure Museum spaces not open to the public. This tour provides a unique opportunity to engage deeply with both the public and private sides of the Museum. Visit our Events page for information on special pricing, the upcoming tour focus, and to register. Tours are limited to 10 people and require registration.

Art in Action

Explore the Museum during one of our 30-minute Mini-Tours. These are a great way to become more familiar with the Museum, Still, and the collection. Mini-tours are at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the first Friday of each month as part of CSM’s Pay-What-You-Wish Days and on SCFD Free Days. The Mini-Tours are free, no registration is required, and all ages are welcome. For more information on Pay-What-You-Wish Days and SCFD Free Days, please visit our Events page.

Private Tours

Educator-Led Tour

An educator-led tour lasts 60 minutes and includes an introduction to Clyfford Still and the Museum, as well as a close look at selected works. Groups can choose between the following themes: Collection Highlights, Abstract Expressionism, Architecture, and Exploring the Exhibition. Or, we can develop a custom experience for an additional fee. Tours are very conversational and are a great way to become familiar with the Museum or to take a deeper dive into the art, the building, and our namesake artist. Tours are limited to 20 people and one CSM educator.

Interactive Workshops

Do you want to explore deeper and have a hands-on experience? Book an interactive workshop! Led by CSM educators, workshops are designed to foster creativity, communication, and connection. Layering in a theme, idea, or value of your choosing, we will explore abstract thinking through reflective conversation and art-making. The group will come away from this memorable and fun experience with new perspectives and understandings. Workshops are 90 minutes and can take place at the Museum or at your location (within the seven-county SCFD area).

*Can’t make it to the Museum? Want to experience a program with friends and family who are not in Denver? Book a virtual tour or workshop! All offerings above are available in a virtual format or we can develop a custom experience for an additional fee.

We require at least three weeks’ notice to book a private tour or workshop.
