The Clyfford Still Museum offers educator-led tours, virtual tours, custom tours, lectures, workshops, and interactive programs. Please look at our options below and request a tour or program today. If you are interested in visiting the Museum in person with a college class, community group, or any group of eight or more people for a self-guided visit, please request a self-guided group visit. For more information about tours or group visits, please email tours@clyffordstillmuseum.org.
In-person Tours
An educator-led tour typically lasts 45-60 minutes and includes an introduction to Clyfford Still and the Museum, as well as a close look at selected works. Tours can also be customized to the interest of the group to focus on topics such as Abstract Expressionism, the architecture of the Museum, or the current exhibition. Our tours are very conversational and are a great way to be introduced to the museum or to take a deeper dive into the art and artist.
We require at least three weeks’ notice to book an in-person or virtual tour or program. We cannot accommodate requests with fewer than three weeks’ notice. Tours are limited to no more than 20 people and one CSM educator.
Virtual Tours
Can’t make it to the Museum or want to experience a tour with friends and family who are not in Denver? Book a virtual tour! We can accommodate up to 100 participants in a virtual tour. Our educators use a combination of slides and our virtual gallerie software to explore the Museum space. To see one example of what this could look like, check out the virtual Curatorial Highlights tour led by our curator of collections Bailey Placzek. You can watch past public virtual tours and other virtual programs any time on CSM’s YouTube channel!
Lectures, Talks + Workshops
Custom tours, lectures, workshops, and interactive programs are facilitated by our specially trained team of Museum educators. We would love to work with you on designing a program that meets the needs and interests of your group!
Community + College Groups
Nonprofit organizations that work with underserved communities may request programs and tickets for a self-guided visit at no cost. An underserved community is one in which individuals lack basic access to arts programs due to factors including geography, economic conditions, ethnic background, or disability.
College classrooms visiting with a professor also qualify for free tours and programs.
