Throughout the run of the Stories We Tell: The Collection Two Ways exhibition, we explored unique personal perspectives on Still’s art, through the experiences of curators who have worked with Clyfford Still’s art during their careers.
This final iteration of One Painting at a Time focused on curatorial perspectives features a talk with Jeff Lambson, the Director and Curator of the Emmanuel Art Gallery at the University of Colorado Denver. The first show that Lambson worked on in his professional career was Clyfford Still: Paintings, 1944 – 1960 at the Hirshhorn in Washington D.C. In this recording, Lambson discusses Clyfford Still’s PH-374, 1951.
