The Clyfford Still Museum rotated 24 works on paper in the Tell Clyfford exhibition during the Museum’s weekly Monday closure on January 12. Because works on paper are particularly vulnerable to light damage, we limit light exposure by rotating these sensitive works midway through the exhibition.
In addition to the works on paper, the team also replaced PH-758, 1942, with PH-111, 1948, in gallery 7. A few of our co-curators interpreted both paintings when they came to Denver for the exhibition’s opening.
