The Clyfford Still Museum Collection

The Clyfford Still Museum (CSM) houses the City and County of Denver’s collection of work by Clyfford Still, which is 95% of the artist’s oeuvre. In this video from the Museum’s ground-floor storyviewers, SFMOMA Director Neal Benezra, CSM Director Dean Sobel, curator Douglas Dreishpoon, and CSM Senior Consulting Curator David Anfam discuss the “self marginalization” that both obscured Clyfford Still’s artistic legacy in his own lifetime and also led directly to the formation of the world’s most intact public collection of any major American artist.
