About the Performers

René Moffatt is a Denver-based singer/songwriter serving poignant lyrics and resonant melodies. Over the last decade, Moffatt has taken his latent knack for songwriting and turned it into a full-fledged pursuit, manifesting into a handful of notable releases. In 2016, he began making his mark on the Front Range music scene, performing at Globe Hall, Swallow Hill (Best of Open Mic), The Laughing Goat, and KRFC’s “Locally Sourced.” Moffatt started a local music initiative in Washington, D.C., and serves on the Music Advisory Panel for Denver Arts & Venues’ Music Advancement Fund.

Born and raised in Walnut, CA, singer and songwriter Mckey’s musical journey began at an early age, singing freestyled melodies to herself quietly in the back of her dad’s van, inspired by the rich tapestry of life experiences and personal reflections. She draws from influences from Lizzy McAlpine and Tori Kelly to Mac Ayres and Stevie Wonder. Mckey’s music transcends genres, offering a unique blend of acoustic warmth, modern pop sensibilities, and the raw emotion of R&B.

brookLYNN is a Denver-based queer artist creating reflective and spiritually healing R&B music that speaks to the soul. Blending introspective storytelling with ethereal sounds, her music invites listeners on a journey of self-discovery and emotional release. According to the performer, she channels deep truths and raw emotion with each song, offering a sonic space for healing, growth, and connection.
Before the Sun is a folk quartet from Denver, CO, known for its original songwriting, vocal harmony, instrumental arrangements, and stage presence. The band formed in 2023 around the long-time friendship of Clare Elich (banjo), Summers Baker (guitar), Grace Clark (percussion), and Joe D’Esposito (cello, fiddle). They play together to bring audiences into the magic of acoustic music and seek to write and perform songs that uplift those around them.
